It's possible that his appearance on the cover isn't causing concern, but the key art for Souls games frequently features a different boss or player character than the one featured in the game itself. As part of his mission to ascend to the throne, he was successful in navigating his way to the entrance of the Erdtree before descending into the depths of the capital city. Those players who have made it as far as Vyke should be aware that to enter the tree, the roots need to be burned away, and there are two ways to accomplish this goal. Those players who have made it as far as Vyke should be aware of this fact.

Taking control of one's destiny is the first method that can be utilized. If the tarnished knight is willing to offer their body as kindling through the sacrifice of their life, they will be able to complete their quest and free themselves from the roots. On the other hand, if the tarnished choose to end their lives for whatever reason, they have the option of submitting themselves to the Frenzied Flame as their final act. If the players select the Lord of Frenzied Flame ending for the game, they will be shown a brief post-credit scene in which their maiden, Melina, makes a vengeful promise to hunt them down and kill them if they choose to play out that particular ending.

The Church of Inhibition is the meeting spot chosen by the Vyke organization for their regular get-togethers, cheap ER Runesnwhich are always entertaining to watch. They wear charred armour that bears the imprint of three large fingerprints in a triangular pattern. Players of Dark Souls 3 may recognize the idea of a player-substitute turned bad guy as one that they've encountered before. The final foe, which was referred to as the Soul of Cinder, was an amalgamation of all of the individuals who had linked the flame before the players arrived on the scene. This included both the game's main protagonist as well as the game's ultimate antagonist. Gael is the name of the new playable character that will be available in Dark Souls 3 after downloading the game's two downloadable content packs.
